For some reason, our house and 1 neighbor seems to be tied into the next streets grid which runs underground.
If our power goes out, it usually comes on much quicker than the rest of the street. Like during Issac, we got power back that night while I think everyone else had to wait til the next afternoon.

Had WDSU on in the break room and they were mentioning "training" starting to set up over the city.

Did you mean warning? Phones went off about 15 minutes with a flash flood warning.

Yep just crossed that intersection around 11... took me a second to notice that our green light was facing the wrong direction.

If not, what's he going to do as a distraction?

Front really lost that forward progression over the past two hours. Cold air coming over top, pulling some gulf moisture up. Hell, just heard some thunder.

Statues throughout the city are on edge.

The tornado warnings we've had over the last hour or so have been very short lived, maybe 15 minutes before the NWS cancel them.

Same here most of the morning. Quick spin ups in an intense line and spinning out. Thankfully.

He’s going to kick the can down the road for another 3 weeks until Toya gets sworn in.
You thought this city was a shithole under Mitch???
Just wait, people are going to be wishing Mitch was still mayor once Toya takes over.
