The level of press this is getting nationally and internationally right now is not good for Tulane or for their recruitment efforts of new students.

Guess you don’t understand the term “self-governing.” The area was controlled by the British following the defeat of the Ottoman Empire (which controlled the territory for 100s of years). The British by means of the Balfour Declaration declared a homeland for the Jews in that territory. In 1948 the UN voted to approve the same along side a Palestinian state. The Jews accepted the UN’s terms and declared a State that already had a functioning infrastructure. The Palestinians rejected the UNs terms and, along with the Arab, attacked the newly formed State of Israel. This is when the Palestinians became “refugees.” Except that those same countries that attacked Israel refused them in their boarders. Today, 75 years later, there is still no functioning governing body for Palestinians. Only terrorist armies and aid organizations.

All of this.

Supporters of Hamas are supporters of terrorism. And supporters of terrorism are terrorists.

Leftists have to be the least self-aware group on the planet. The people chanting these vile slogans are the same ones screaming “black lives matter” and lecture white people that not being racist isn’t enough, we have to be “anti-racist”.

They'll spend 30 minutes femsplaining to you why "Death to Jews" is merely symbolic and creates a sense of justice, starts conversations.

Theyre stupid people.

The problem is most Americans don’t know this history, instead all they know is the lie of “free Palestine” and that Israel is “colonizers” and an “apartheid” state. If our education system actually performed as intended instead of leftist political indoctrination camps, our younger generations would not believe these lies.

Israel has made zero good faith efforts to find a sustainable solution for the Palestinian people who they currently rule.

You can't be aware of the 2000 failure and make that claim. The good faith effort was made. Arafat (and meddling neighbors) killed it because they want the actual extermination of the Jewish people in Israel.

Just do a simple thought experiment. How many Jewish people in Israel would still be alive if the PLO, Hamas, or other Islamic militants had the military power instead of Israel's government?

The answer would likely be most would be dead.

The Jewish radicals continuing to grab more land are no angels but the types of crimes they are committing are different. One group (settlers) is stealing land and oppressing their minority population. The other group (Palestinian representatives as in every political party they have elected) advocates for the genocide of the other. Unilaterally withdrawing from territory in the past to allow self rule also failed when more moderate Israelis had more influence.

Maybe they know about how the ‘Israelis’ got to occupy the land, basically inventing terrorism in this context and slaughtering thousands of people, including British citizens, to achieve it.

I’m not siding with hamas but the whole thing has been one atrocity after another from both sides coming up on 100 years. And anyone who claims ‘right of conquest’ should have no problem with the Arab response.

The meter doesn’t work.

This would have been better:

"Tulane, Tulane, you can't hide, we charge YOU with genocide"

Also, somewhere in the cosmos, poor old Paul Tulane is watching with a major WTF? thought.

There obviously is some nuance to this situation and both sides have done bad things to the other.

BUT

At the end of the day, one side has morals and beliefs mostly in line with the western world and the other wants to kill everyone that doesn't believe what they believe.

I don't see how the left is justifying siding with Hamas and Palestine given that Hamas and Palestine disagree with everything they believe. They are extremely prejudice against anyone not like them and kill gays and believe women to be second class citizens. They are basically supporting the KKK.

Easy, they can’t allow themselves to side with “far-right conservatives” and are willing to put themselves in danger to prove this point. Check out the “LGBT for Palestine” videos, it’s hilarious.
