So basically it’s $20k drones vs $3 million fireworks shows. Great ROI for Ukraine, terrible one for whoever’s footing the missile bill.

What's the point of war then without the human cost? First one to get sick of churning out robot soldiers throws in the towel?

The side whose drones lose are going to either surrender very quickly or there will be a lot of dead humans when the AI starts looking for new targets.

In theory with the insect sized drones they could drop 100k over a major city and each could go kamikaze on a human.

Believe me robot warfare will not be fun for anyone, just watch sci fi or some of the Tom Clancy inspired books out there.

Another smart idea in the evolution of warfare. Go back to 1861. Napoleon tactics based on rifles that had an effective range of maybe 100 yards were all the rage. Let's line up everyone in straight pretty lines and charge. But around 1840 or so, a Frenchman named Minie came up with a better projectile with more accuracy and longer range. But the tactics had to be right because it was Napoleon. It took the Union and Confederates 3 years and numerous casualties to figure out those tactics would not work.

Wars don't stop until the elites start feeling the pain, think that but with all humans.

Wars won’t stop because they are demonic. I don’t know how you can watch a video of an 18 year old trembling in a hole, as he watches his death come floating towards via drone and think drone warfare is anything but demonic.

If there is someone to develop a solution it will be the US. It is 25% of the reason we are funding it, so we can research. If you go a decade without a war nowadays every piece of tech you own becomes worthless.

Something is in the works. Whether that is anti-drone technology, or a bigger, badder drone army, we have it already.

Localized mini emps, shot out of a shotgun like device maybe? I
why not just modify a shotgun to increase the shot spread?

Seems like a drone won't have time to evade 200 bird shot pellets heading their way

In 2022, I asked a friend who is a retired A-10 squadron commander whether they would be useful in Ukraine.

His reply went something like this...

A-10 was designed to go against Soviet army with 50% survival rate to targets. They have a very long logistical tail and needs lots of supplies. A drone swarm would be much more cost effective and do the same thing.

Enlighten the crew here, how do you fry a circuit board flying through the air?

Simple, first you land the circuit board. They you fire up a George Foreman grill and place the circuit board on it.

Every few min you keep flipping it till it gets properly cooked.

Get a large paper plate and serve it hot...

Look up Epirus and reference Leonidas.

It's designed to take out swarms of UAVs.

Latest test (which means months ago if not longer) 49/61 drones in one shot.

LSU spent more on Brian Kelly than most colleges spend on their athletic departments…that’s paying off.
