Was the retailer for the online listing actually Walmart? There’s a lot of 3rd party sellers. Plus was it the exact same SKU/UPC?

As frustrating as the digital coupon thing that Kroger does. They put an item on sale but you only get the sale price if you pull up and scan the digital coupon on their app when you check out. Not sure what the "use our app" is all about....if it's on sale, it's on sale ... but I guess not.

Use the app to check out. You get the lowest prices.

I order everything online now for delivery.
The Amazondsp/ r on Reddit is full of drivers bitching about this.

If you ever want to piss them off, order next day delivery on a few cases of water and some heavy arse bag of dog food. Then throw in something small like a movie. The result is highly entertaining on the Ring video.

Online ordering saves from store theft

Right….and it keeps them from having to deal with degrease employees and the customer base as well.

What’s going to be cool as hell is when all the stores with digital price tags change the price based on who is near/looking at the product.

Walmart knows you are high/low income and will adjust the prices of the aisle you are on accordingly.

My local fresh market literally has cameras on the shelves that are analyzing how long customers are looking at an aisle and what products they are looking at. They use that data for pricing.

I refuse to do online ordering.
I will never let someone else pick my groceries.

Download the Walmart app and scan the barcode yourself. Problem solved

It also gives you WalMart cash on in store shopping using scan and go mode. Only way I will shop in a WalMart

Same thing with CVS, if I order on-line I get Buy one get one free. But in the store I only get 50% off the 2nd one.

So I've been ordering online, go to the register they hand it to me and I walk out.

The Walmarks delivery took a while to get used to. We save many times over the $100 annual fee both from lower prices and not spontaneously buying extra crap you see waking the aisles.

And it is generally faster than Amazon.

We started doing delivery a few months ago (and eventually sprung for InHome so I don't have to tip) and have been happy with it. Not only are the prices lower, sometimes they have Walmart cash or digital coupons. We save 10% on average overall vs going in store. If something is missing or wrong, it is really easy to get a refund through the app. I don’t order a ton of produce and meat through them but the few times I did, it was fine.

They put the cold/frozen stuff right in our garage fridge and the rest at the door. It's almost always the same guy lately but they have all been nice and professional. The only downside is the delivery window is four hours but someone is almost always home and you can track your order anyway.

Long story short, I'm very happy with Walmart delivery.

You must not live around here.

I've been using the Scan & Go option in the app recently. Today they told me the register with the giant "Scan & Go" sign was for Spark drivers only. So which line am I actually supposed to use to check out then? The normal self checkout ones? Kind of defeats the purpose....

I do online ordering all the time, but not for meat or produce

This. All day long.

I’ve been doing this for about a year and it appears that even with the subscription fee it still is at least a wash as far as cost is concerned because you get Walmart cash on some things and yes, the digital price is usually less than the in-store price plus I don’t have to go in the store, which is a big plus.

My confusion lies with vendors now purposely trying to keep people out of the store. Target, HEB, etc. reserves the first 100 spots in the lot to pickup orders. Cheaper online prices or through the app.

People traditionally spend more money in the store because they window shop and buy shite they didn’t go there for.

You actually follow the reservation spot rules?
