Surprised it's only 46% honestly. Sometimes I feel like my wife and I are the only ones that are self sufficient.
Y’all are.

Y’all are the only self sufficient millennials.

Yes but it's on top of stuff that is. Cell phone, help with housing, etc.

I have a friend in this scenario too. A sibling is dirt broke so the family is paying for all so it doesn't single one out.

Hey, frick you guy. There are plenty of millennials who don't suck at life. My wife and I both went to grad school without help from our parents, and without taking out student loans, just because you have family members who suck, doesn't mean an entire generation sucks.

Social media directors at big companies probably make a very comfortable salary.

Can’t be hiring joe the intern to be the voice of your marketing

Yes I clearly meant the only ones period and not the obvious that I'm talking about in my circle.

At most large companies they do.

There are ALWAYS exceptions to the rule. I'm sure you suck in plenty of other ways.

About 46 percent of millennials admitted their parents help them with basic costs like their cell phone bill, their groceries, and their rent.

This *could* be misleading.

I’m a millennial and I’m on my parents cell phone bill, just because it’s cheap with their family plan so we never took me off.

But I’m married, own a home, pay all my bills, etc. Could easily pay my own cell bill if needed but it’s easier this way.

I’d guess many more of that 46% are in a similar situation as myself. Plus the younger millennials are still in college so it makes sense they can’t support themselves.

I agree that this part is pathetic. The struggling sibling that I mentioned also falls in this category

It's a weird situation to be in as a parent. You don't want to leave some of your kids out of fun vacations, but at some point they need to either carry their weight, or just not attend. We plan on going on a Euro vacation within the next year that her parents will probably attend, but we'll pay our own way and it'll probably just be the 4 of us.

The youngest millennials are just now graduating college. It is plausible they are still being assissted by their parents. It is better than boomers eating up all the welfare funds.

Millenials' birth years ended in 1995, so by younger, you mean people who are 24, 25, 26 years old, right.

We call them adults.

My gf and her sisters get money from their dad randomly... he gives them a $100.00 bill from time to time during the month. All 3 girls have good jobs, speech pathologist, physical therapist and rad tech... so it's not like they are hurting for money unless they have some crazy spending habits i'm unaware of.

Rather watch your kids enjoy the money now than fight over it when your dead.

what is the point of building wealth if you can't/don't share it with family (or friends)?
