Dauphin Island is the only place I've ever witnessed people actually in the water with beer bottles and smoking cigarettes.

Galveston and it ain't close. Lived at the Anchorage Motel in 1983-84 across the street from the pier with the amusement park on it now. It was nasty then. Its infinitely worse now. I have been to Holly Beach a lot and I kind of like it....kind of comparable to Galveston but slightly better and the people and atmosphere are much better....

Myrtle Beach. We call it Murder Beach in SC. It’s fine if you like risking being kidnapped and sold to sex traffickers or randomly shot or having cheap tshirts shoved in your face walking down the street but other than that I would strongly avoid.

My grandfather would probably say Normandy.

Crystal Beach which is just across the ferry from Galveston. That's the beach I grew up going to and didn't know there was any other kind of beach until I went to Pensacola whilst at LSU. The white sand freaked me out.

Laguna Beach in Denham Springs is pretty trashy, believe it or not.

Boca chica, hour or so from Santo Domingo. Bunch of trashy Russians hanging out with local Dominicans and a Chinese oil tanker right off shore

Sadly St. Petersburg.
Beach and water were beautiful but we went while they had red tide.
Had globs of dead fish every where

Could not agree more but the beach itself is tolerable at times...in the fall before it gets cold but after school has started it ain't horrible. The town itself and the beach front is and always has been horrendous. Most vile people who ever gathered in one place to enjoy themselves every weekend from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Memorial Day weekend is bad but its the best weekend of the summer....if you know you know. It also impossible to get to. I can drive to Melbourne and be on the beach fishing from Augusta in about the same amount of time it takes to get to from Conway to the hotel on the beach in Myrtle Beach. It is seriously bad traffic. My kids used to love Dirty Myrtle but they got better....but if a man wants a confederate flag t-shirt with pot leafs instead of stars he ain't gonna find a better selection than that in Myrtle Beach....Daytona would come in a distant second for Lynyrd Skynrd mirrors to snort coke off of....

Yea that place blows. Definitely don't come hang out with me and drink beer and ride the SxS and run crab lines with the kids and slam trout on topwaters and get drunk at the marina on Bushwhackers. Yucky.

Dung Beach west o Holly Beach. Cow patties everywhere

Daytona is pretty bad.
White trash town, murky water, sharks everywhere, people driving on the beach. Easily the worst in FL.

I’ve been to Holly Beach. That’s gotta be the answer

Holly Beach
Crystal Beach
Biloxi
Galveston
In that order. Most of the time I was just surf fishing so they are ok for that I guess. I will admit I had some very good times at Holly Beach when I was in High School.

Copa Cabana in Rio, Brazil is fine in terms of the actual beach/water itself. The problem there is people haranguing you non-stop trying to sell 100 different things from food and drinks to weed and soccer jerseys.
A friend who lived in Rio in the late 80's said make sure to wear tennis shoes because beach goers there crap in the sand like cats.
