tourist attraction, it was good back in the day, it’s like the Disney of rib joints now

They’re fine. I’d say it’s worth going if you’ve never been but they are a far cry from the best ribs in Memphis

The ribs I get at the gas station on Fridays are ok. Rendezvous is better than that

I remember Central BBQ was really good but that was like 6 years ago. I liked the Pyramid and Peabody for things to see. Beale kind of sucks especially compared to Bourbon.

Graceland
Peabody Hotel Bar
Marlowe's

That’s about it. Memphis is not what it used to be.

Beale is really overrated. All of the danger of Bourbon Street and like 5% of the fun.

It’s been like a decade since I’ve been to Memphis but I preferred Beale to Bourbon. It was more chill. Guess it depends on what you’re looking for.

Went a few years ago because one of my daughters had a soccer tournament there. We did:

Rendezvous
Elvis Museum
Graceland
Peabody Hotel
Bass Pro Shop pyramid

I recommend none of them. It was a shite trip.

The Williams Sonoma outlet store. Sometimes there are really good prices, other times it's solid Karens on their phones discussing what to buy fo resell.

Central BBQ is the best pork ribs you’ll ever have.

Since it’s great weather, I’d recommend Hyatt Centric on Beale St rooftop bar for a great view of the MS River.

Commissary in Germantown is my favorite BBQ.

If you’ve got kids, they’ve got a solid children’s museum and a great zoo for a small city.

If you’re just a baw, Bass Pro at the Pyramid.

Graceland and Sun Records if you like Elvis.

Porch and Parlor or Flight if you like a fancy meal. Plenty of options there honestly.

Peabody is worth checking out if you like sitting in lobbies, sipping drinks, and people watching.

Beale St ain’t worth a damn.

If you like getting wrecked on 40 oz Bud Lights and dancing to Rick James, the Gap Band, Whitney Houston, etc. late into the night…. Or like watching college girls and young professionals doing it….. Go to Raiford’s.

Memphis ain’t bad. It’s just a bunch of stuff that’s worth seeing once and there’s not much need to see it again.

ETA: *Ain’t bad if you stay out of the ghetto(s).
