Memphis is completely overrated and dangerous.

What can you do in Memphis? Get shot, just for starters.

Good luck, tho!

Sun Studio was cool. The zoo is nice. Peabody for the Duck show and drinks.

Central BBQ for ribs and BBQ nachos

and it's Central BBq on Central Avenue. The ones on Butler and Summer are pretenders.

Like has been said.. don't fall into the Rendezvous tourist trap. That place died with Charlie Vergo.

Blues City Cafe on Beale is usually on point as well.

Memphis BBq company in Horn Lake is very good too.

LOL. I've lived near Memphis and been there many times. Lived in TX for years. Spent a LOT of time with family in KC.

There is NO better BBQ on the planet than TX. Now, KC is a decent 2nd, but not even that close to TX.

Memphis BBQ is trash. I'd rather make homemade crockpot BBQ than dine on anything Memphis has to offer. Not kidding.

I've never been to St. Louis, so no real comment. Had Carolina BBQ once and it was edible. Bout all I can say on it.

The rib tips at Tom's BBQ are excellent. A Greek rub on them.

It's sort of on the next major road to the east Graceland and out in the middle of nowhere.

Rendezvous is a cool atmosphere with mediocre food.

If you want real BBQ, go to Cozy Corner. Looks sketchy as hell, but that shite is delicious and they charge prohibition prices.

If you like a damned good breakfast go to Kinfolk.

Outside of that, what everyone else suggested to go do.

Raines and Getwell. You definitely have to go out of your way to get there, but the rib tips and chicken wings are worth it

My ex fiancé used to go to pharmacy school in Memphis and I would visit her often. Memphis is a shithole so every time I went we would drive to Tunica and go to the casinos. It’s less than an hour away.

you like getting wrecked on 40 oz Bud Lights and dancing to Rick James, the Gap Band, Whitney Houston, etc. late into the night…. Or like watching college girls and young professionals doing it….. Go to Raiford’s

Good times in college. Make a trip to Memphis to day drink on Beal and then Raifords to end the night.

The quickest route to drive to Tunica goes through an area that looks like a third world country after a natural disaster. I hated that drive, one time I was dying to pee and stopped at a ghetto gas station and fortunately survived.

Tunica is pretty dead, although Gold Strike and Horseshoe are still somewhat viable.
