We didn't celebrate Christmas. But one year my dad got us a Marlin model 60 .22 that happened to coincide with the holidays, I'll go with that.

A new bicycle in 1972. My old bike had definitely seen better days, and my mom said she and my dad couldn't afford to get me a new one. A day or two before Christmas, a radio ad for a local bicycle shop played, and I said something like "I wish I'D find a new bike under the tree." My mom proceeded to tear me a new a-hole: "Don't you think we'd get you a bike if we could? Are you trying to make us feel bad? Why can't you be grateful for what you will receive? etc, etc, etc." By the time she was done, I felt about an inch tall.
So when I walked into our living room on Christmas morning, and found a new bike parked beside the tree, I could not have been more surprised, or more happy.

For me it’s got to be this. I got it when I was 6 and I still have it in my gun cabinet and I’m 38 years old now.

Yep, Evel Knievel stunt cycle was my favorite. Only other thing that was close was Electric Football, and a Mattel Electronic Football Handheld game.

I loved airplanes as a kid - played with this one for hours and hours:
And of course Star Wars

Remington 870 express magnum youth model 20 gauge. I loved that thing like it was family but tragically it found its way into Little River by New Years that same year.
