Nope.
One day at a time, one day at a time, one day at a time
One day at a time, one day at a time, one day at a time

Dissolve the family business and use the funds to pay off my current home.
I am moving in June, so use the rental income to buy a second house as an investment property.
Quit corporate America and make money freelancing, or starting my own business.

Already completed it. Retired 10 months ago. I don’t touch savings. Live off SS and help my niece.

Help more good people in need. Met a guy today to buy an antique bench from him off Facebook Marketplace. My wife had asked him via Marketplace messaging if he would take $30 less than what he had listed and he agreed. We met them at their house to pickup the bench. The bench wasn't in the greatest shape. I normally wouldn't have bought something in it's condition.
It was pretty cold outside, but I talked with the guy for a while. Super nice, humble guy has been taking care of his wife, three young girls and his mom, while working two jobs plus selling stuff on FB Marketplace. I could tell they were struggling financially. Probably poverty level. I paid him $100 more than what he was asking. He resisted at first but I told him I really wanted to help him just a little and maybe it would help him buy something for his girls for Christmas. He was so grateful, his eyes started watering up. That was the best $100 I spent in a while. I want to keep helping more people. That's my plan.

Retirement by 55 .
Im currently 47.. imo the majority of people my age (Gen X) and younger will never be able to retire , or will simply die working in their 70s or 80s .. not the people on this fine board of course, i realize that here we are all Billionaires and multi-millionaires .
I am fortunate (also by hard work and design)- to live and work overseas .. that is the ONLY way i am able to fairly confidently assert that ill most likely be able to retire in 8 years from now … i dont see how it will be possible for most (not all) people to have a comfortable retirement in the US, with the astronomical cost of living, healthcare and the rest… It’s great to have a plan, but many people suffer through a divorce (or two), or have a business go under (or two) .. or child support.. i feel fortunate to have avoided most (not all) of these traps, yet i still could not consider US retirement before like 75 years old .
ETA sorry i just realized that’s not actually a 5 year plan, it’s an 8 year plan .. math was never my strong suit….
