Man, frick that bridge. I’m not one usually bothered by heights but the one time I drove over that bridge it freaked me out a little.

Ponte Alexandre in Paris.

I was recently in Prague and the Charles Bridge has to be way up there.

This one is the best.

Cote Blanche Bridge, Cut Off, Louisiana

It will be sad when Lafourche Parish finally retires these Pontoon Bridges. The Galliano Pontoon Bridge will probably be gone forever once the new Airport Access Road Bridge opens hopefully later this year.

That will leave the Cote Blanche Bridge in the Parish as the sole Pontoon Parish bridge in Bayou Lafourche. There is another pontoon bridge in the Intracoastal in Bayou Blue that is a state bridge, but it is nearly always broken either mechanically or a boat hit it.

Marler Bridge, just west of Destin:

The Bridge itself is nothing special, but the location and the views are great. On one side, there is Crab Island and Choctawhatchee Bay, on the other there is Destin Harbor and then past the inlet the open Gulf. Beautiful water full of boats.

It was always a milestone crossing this on our annual family and extended family trips to Florida every summer, knowing you were getting damn close to Seaside (family) or Miramar Beach (extended family). I usually was finishing up my first cocktail of the trip (made at the little bayside park in Navarre) by the time I was crossing that bridge in the late afternoon.

Good times...

I should say the West Seattle Bridge because it made my life even more of a hell when it was out during covid.

I'll go with St. Johns in Portland, Oregon.

I know some may have mentioned this as sarcasm already, but in all seriousness the Causeway is pretty damn impressive due to its length.
