My dad's family was always breakfast, dinner, supper. My mom is from Denmark where they ate 4 meals that they called their version of breakfast, lunch, dinner, and supper. The late afternoon dinner has really become just pastry and coffee, but supper is still really late in the day.

Parents were from Yankees from New Hampshire so it was
Breakfast
Lunch
Supper / Dinner
Mom was the cook and Yankee food wasn't quite as delicious as South Louisiana cooking but every meal was huge and very nutritious so there's that.

We were kind of country though.
This was mine - young folks I work with think I'm making it up and then they look it up and see it is or was at least - common in rural communites where farming is the major industry.
My Mom grew up on a farm - she would say when folks challenged her on calling the noon meal dinner - "lunch is something you eat out of a bag".

Of course he didn’t, but it was the Last one for a reason.
So now the only accurate descriptions are breakfast, lunch and DINNER.
