So you quit and didn’t get laid off
My layoff slip says otherwise.
It's SOP when working construction to give someone a clean lay off when they ask for it.

Looks like I start Monday…gonna be head hunting my laptop and badge. 2 days off work, $2k signing bonus, paid out vacation hours…same salary. Still, pisses me off a bit.

I’m 50
I retired at 59. There was a major restructuring going on at the same time and some colleagues with 30 years got fired. If I wouldn't have turned in my retirement papers I would have been fired. I lost out on 300 grand in severance. My buddy got fricked up because he wasn't expecting it and envisioned a retirement party and watch in five years. I cried because I didn't get the money.

52 gap 56 sand 60 loft…what’s 48? 100 yard club?
My Approach wedge is 54, that’s about my 100-120yd club, can go more if I deloft it and jump on it.

Don’t you have to lease/buy your own truck?

Hopefully you'll land on your feet and get a better opportunity.

I didn't get laid off but did get laid. At my age, that is worthy of celebration

Either way, good luck.

I read that as "laid" not "laid off". Sorry.

got retired after 30 years while working a job in Asia. Corporate take over, political shite, but full retirement and a very hefty severance. Best part was wife getting back in the states went for a severance mammography a month later found she had breast cancer. With surgery, chemo, and radiation, she is in great shape 25 years later. Best severance ever
