Yeah but I also greatly prefer the days that you actually had to do research in a book because the online you never know what to believe I mean people here post Twitter accounts as information.
There's no examination whether it's true or not it's just trying to get the story out there first

No...we are not.
Not all of us

Well that's exactly my point we're made in the image of God we don't need to alter ourselves to turn into something that we're not

seriously. I use it as a coaster at my desk. No one ever notices it or asks about it. I find that amusing. They all want to know what's in my water bottle (it's Bushmills). No one ever asks about the ever present ABBA 8-track.

That’s awesome but I’m not joking. I still buy cassettes and CD’s to listen to

Hey, I hear your frustration—and you're definitely not alone in feeling overwhelmed or disheartened by how AI is being used in some corners of the internet. The flood of synthetic content, especially when it feels shallow or deceptive, can make it harder to find what’s real and meaningful.
But I think it's also worth remembering that AI, like any tool, reflects how we choose to use it. It can be used to manipulate, sure—but it can also be used to empower, to create, to connect. The key is in how we engage with it and what values we bring to the table.
You’re absolutely right that authenticity matters. Being loved for who you truly are is more powerful than any number of likes. Maybe the challenge now is to use these tools in ways that amplify our humanity, not replace it.
Curious to hear more—what kind of content or creativity do you wish people shared more of?

AI is awesome.
Its not Skynet.

I like that at the drop of a hat, I can find out information on about anything I’m interested in.
You could have arguably done with this Google until they became an advertising platform. Make no mistake that OpenAI is going to sell out too.
We are less than 5 years out from Google selling you a product that allows you to FaceTime with its re-creations of deceased people (ie loved ones) that leaned heavily on Google products for enough time for it to create a predictive model of the person.
You could also probably “talk to God” this way.

Why come to a forum just to post AI shite? Just chit chat with ChatGPT if you can’t come up with your own ideas.

It is convenient when ai scours all the information and writes a quick breakdown. Saves me from reading pages of reviews. The other nice thing is the impossibly attractive porn with women doing
unbelievable impossible acts.

I actually think its fascinating.
Its the next big advancement.
I remember in the late 80s/early 90s and my dad deciding to get a computer and telling me "this is the future. You are going to need how to use them", I didn't want anything to do with a computer at the time. I was 10-11 years old and it just didn't interest me... He gained my attention by showing me an encyclopedia on a CD and showing me there war video clips.. And showed me Michael Jordan with a video of him dunking and then gave some facts about himself, but I still wasn't completely interesting.. So that was the first step of technology evolving in my life time.
Then I want to say it was 1997 when we got the internet. At the time it was unbelievable. Them I guess 2000-2001ish? We got a cable modem and that was a game changer. Several years later.. I guess 2006-2007ish I remember getting a blackberry. That was a big leap in cell phone advancement. I could access excel from it. The iPhone came out in 2008 I think. I had to wait a few years.. Well for the price to go down and for my phone contract to be up. That's the same type Social Media was growing.
Myspace didn't really appeal to me. I lost interest in Facebook when it became available to everyone. Then in the 2010s things evolved.. Then in 2023 AI was rolled out and just in two years it has gotten better.. So I like to see things evolve.. What is the next best thing? You have to embrace it..

Here. Legit hate AI. Especially with entertainment. It's going to ruin creativity and can let any bozo on the internet think he's a creative genius.

My AI gave me this:
“Owlfan the Wise (Sort Of)”
Owlfan soared with wings so wide,
Boasting brains and feathery pride.
Said, “I see all — both near and far!”
Then walked straight into a parked car.
He hoots at night with lofty airs,
Spouting wisdom from folding chairs.
“Football facts!” he loudly brags,
But calls the end zone “touchdown crags.”
Perched up high on message boards,
Swinging logic like blunt swords.
“LSU is doomed!” he cries with glee,
Then predicts a win — 73 to 3.
He’s got hot takes and cooler wings,
Predicts the future (but wrong on things).
He once claimed Nick Saban would flop —
Next week: “Saban can’t be stopped.”
In debates, he won’t concede,
Argues hard — with owl-like speed.
Then rage-quits with a final screech:
“You all fear me, you ill-bred leech!”
But deep inside that fluffy bird,
Is a fan whose takes are quite absurd.
And though we mock, we must admit —
The nest feels empty when he quits.

AI also gave me this:
“Ode to Chinhoyang the Magnificent (Just Ask Him)”
Behold! It’s Chinhoyang, sage of the net,
A scholar, a troll, a dubious threat.
From forums afar, his nonsense he flings,
Dressed in a cape made of outdated zings.
He speaks with flair, with grandeur bold —
Quoting Plato… but half mis-told.
“Observe,” he cries, “my rhetorical might!”
Then loses a poll to ‘Banana Delight.’
He once claimed to duel Socratic minds,
But confused Descartes with pickled rinds.
His logic’s sharp — like a buttered spoon,
His wisdom deep as a kiddie lagoon.
He strolls through threads with regal disdain,
Corrects your grammar — then misspells “brain.”
Each post begins with “Not to boast…”
Then boasts enough to grill a roast.
He’s banned? He returns — like a fungal bloom,
In a fresh disguise with faux costume.
“This time,” he says, “I’ll be profound.”
Then quotes Yoda… upside-down.
Yet even as we groan and sneer,
We grin when Chinhoyang draws near.
For though his ego breaks the scale,
The board’s less fun when he’s in jail.
