Best part about working for an outpatient M-F clinic. Holidays and weekends off. Can't beat it. Poor guys in neurosurgery residency with no holidays for 7 years haha.

Our office generally observes holidays on which the courts are closed. I'm off tomorrow, but I brought some work home.
It was a 4 day weekend for employees of the Commonwealth. They had Friday off for Lee-Jackson Day and have Monday off for MLK Day.
Years ago both holidays were celebrated on the same day which didn't work well for either devotees of R.E. Lee/Stonewall Jackson or devotees of MLK.

When I worked downtown I never went to the office on Inauguration Day. And the courts were always closed due to their proximity to The Capitol.
Now that I'm out in the counties, it's just another day. I did hear that the courts in Arlington and Alexandria are closed. But I have an appearance in Fairfax.
No way you'd catch me in D.C. on that day - especially this year.

I am! I'm not starting my new job until Tuesday because they are off tomorrow for holiday. 
Working in a department that doesn't need to be open 24/7. This will be new for me.

I'll be working tomorrow. Until this year, we had MLK day off, but this year we traded it out for Good Friday holiday. Good Friday is a much more useable holiday IMO, as we just got done with the holiday season.

Columbus got shaft this year for Veterans
Was always off MLK which is bad for holiday spread. Also god bless vets but don't need that day same month of Thanksgiving
