Cook was considered a very good CEO finances wise for the most part. He did some very profitable things.
He was considered a terrible CEO tech wise. Apple just stopped innovating and are behind on everything.

Apple has never been the first out the gate in anything, but they come in once the tech is developed only to dominate the field after. AI will be no different Apple being "slow" on AI is a feature not a bug.

I hear this a lot. Out of curiosity, what more would you want your phone to do?
Have the same call quality and reliability that my land line had in 1990.
LOL. Your beef there is with physics, not Apple.

The OT: BIG GOVERNMENT IS WATCHING US!! WE DONT WANT CHIP IMPLANTS AND AI THAT TAKES OVER!!!
Also the OT: “If Elon builds it, I want, chip implants, robots, and internet that can connect to me anywhere I am in the world.

I think I read they are basically living off of AirPod sales these days.
I mean they made 113 billion in profits last year. Thats a lot of air pods and air pod related accessories.

I definitely don’t want neural links in my head and Apple is not an internet company anyway. Guess I’d take a home robot if I can frick it.

Following the current CEO trend, it will be someone from India.
Wouldn't this be a great example of the lack of "systemic racism" within the United States?

Apple's MO has always been perfecting their technology and innovations.
Other smartphone companies can brag about all their cutting edge innovations that will only enticed a very small portion of tech junkies. But most of these cutting edge technologies and innovations would fail to be adopted by the general public and would be replaced or killed by the next model.
Apple didn't introduce the world's first smartphone, but they set the standards and dominated the market shares for smartphones once they released their iPhone. Same with:
iPad
Apple Watches
Airpods
Airpods Pro
Airtags
Currently the foldable phones are still a very small fringe of the market, but when Apple releases their folding iPhones, that foldable sector will explode and every other phone makers will pivot and follow Apple's form factor and functionality.
The tech junkies can scream and cry about "Samsung/Google... had this or that first!!" but the rest of the public just don't care.

Cook has been a caretaker CEO. Financially they’ve been good. But a tech company cannot sit on its laurels for long. The next one is going to have to develop some new products.

Apple is one of the highest valued companies in the world. The frick you talking about?

Why do morons buy apple. All it does at this point for "innovation " is copy androids features.
Buy android clowns....you have a choice of 60 phones. Etc etc etc
Just idiots!

Tim Cook not only stopped innovating, he went soft on the teams at Apple. As someone who has had an iPhone since they originally came out, the amount of OS bugs that go unfixed and lack of OS updates is shocking. Steve would have stroked out on the support teams until they fixed the issues.
No idea about the possible new CEO, but unless he's even 1/2 of how Jobs was, the product will continue to decline.

Tim Cook is a complete moron. I can’t believe Apple selected a gay Barner as their CEO. Talk about your all time frickups.

Don’t tell the market that. Stock still going up and folks still buying apple like crazy. iPhone sales are still up biggly, same for MacBooks.

I'd like my battery to last multiple days.
I'd like the charger cables to work on insertion without having to jiggle it, jam it, or jolt it.
I'd like the charger wires to stay inserted and charging even when the phone is jiggled, jammed, or jolted.
These are simple requests.
