Because all the brains are up north

East TX has more in common with Georgia than the rest of the state. The rest of Texas hate on us all the time.

Not if you're in New Orleans, it isn't. But for the rest of the state, it is. They finally got some infrastructure and patronage aka pork.
And everybody loves pork - even the Jews.

Nola transplants hate Jefferson Parish with passion

South Louisiana is its own unique culture where as north Louisiana is more "Southern". But then you have a parish like Livingston Parish that is in South La but is probably more North La than South La.
New Iberia has its own haircut. There is just a lot of different types throughout the state.

s la doesn’t think about n la
The innumerable threads about everything north of I10 not being Louisiana would like a word. In fact, NLA is the one that rarely thinks about SLA except when the lege wants to throw more money into the New Orleans sinkhole.
A good example of this is the SLA private schools and their feud with the LHSAA. The rest of the state gives zero fricks if they leave and never come back.

Pride is relative
I love Louisiana over Alabama or Mississippi but I love BR over Monroe.
I love the USA but I don’t want to live in Minnesota. frick that.

We obviously weren't as hateful amongst ourselves as Dakota and Carolina

Name a state that is not this way.

Where do you people come up with this stuff?
I went to Toledo Bend one time and looked all over the grocery store for alcohol then one of the workers told me I had to go to the beer barn or whatever it was called...so in my case personal experience

South Louisianans don't hate North Louisiana when deer season rolls around

Born and raised in South Louisiana, currently live and work in North Louisiana. They are not the same state.
Recency bias here but
I have started to openly wonder if we in S.LA would have better infrastructure if we cleeved off everything North of Alexandria
Seems N.LA politicians LOVE blocking SLA infrastructure projects.

Not entirely true; although ULLL does legitimately LSU.

Just seems like the idea of STATE pride is non-existent.
It's incredibly divided politically. That doesn't help. A lot like Pennsylvania in that it's basically 3 states in one.

Probably because the only thing they go south of Alexandria for is an LSU game.

I think most of them don't leave their Parishes ever.
And they probably resent that they are called "Parishes" instead of "County"
