How would this solve brain deterioration? Your brain ages as well and putting your head on a younger body doesn’t reverse dementia

Didn't say I never drank. I did when I was younger. As I got older just occasionally. Now the Dr said I can't drink anything. Would love a crown and coke but I don't like hospitals.

So a bald wrinkly old man 100yo face/head on a 25 yr body sounds interesting.

How about head/body race mixes? That will be sold to cucks to solve their mental issues.

A growing body of research suggests a correlation between Alzheimer's disease and an unhealthy gut, and Australian scientists are hoping to take this a step further by exploring how harmful gut bacteria access the brain and leads to dementia.

University of South Australia nano bio-scientist Dr. Ibrahim Javed says tiny metabolites released by bad bacteria in the gut can travel to the brain, causing inflammation and triggering Alzheimer's disease, for which there is no cure.

In younger people this is less likely because the blood-brain barrier is much stronger, but this weakens as people age, allowing harmful substances to damage neurons. When the microbiome in the gut ages, it also loses the ability to fight disease.

By identifying how metabolites released by bad bacteria damage neurons—and hopefully developing new drug therapies to block them—Dr. Javed says it should be possible to slow down or halt the progression of Alzheimer's.

A second aim of the three-year research project is to investigate how probiotics and nutritional supplements, both of which contain friendly bacteria, can stamp out bad bacteria and stop metabolites escaping from the gut.

This would just allow the richest people in the world to stay around longer and become more powerful. Glad I wont be around in 100+ years to see this.

Interesting article. Have a problem with physicians using the phrase "bad bacteria." Publish the species of bacteria they consider "bad". Don't just say "bad".

This is the basic premise of the Forever War by Robert Heinlein. Except it's consciousness not heads. Good read nonetheless.

Robert Heinlein didn't write the Forever War that was Joe Haldeman. The premise of the Forever War dealt with the effects of time dilation from near faster than light travel. I think you are thinking of "I Will Fear No Evil" that was written by Heinlein and dealt with brain transplants.

There was a surgeon in the US by the name of Robert White that performed these surgeries on live monkeys back in the 1970s. I don’t think any of them ever survived.
