I love my self driving car. Automatically passes on the interstate and lane changes after passing. I have to be behind the wheel and eye monitor requires that I can’t look away for no more than 5 seconds.

When it gets to the point I can hop in a car and arrive hundreds of miles away when I wake up from a nap...I'd be down for that.
I've ridden with my wife. I have more confidence in computers. It's unlikely the computers will swerve all over the road while looking at everything but the road.

Certainly for short rides less than 3 miles and under 55 mph. Probably not otherwise

Well that just makes most people, idiots. There is no logical case to be made over choosing a human driver that is statistically more prone to accidents, over the autonomous car that is roughly 80% less likely to have an accident.
Plus, as others have mentioned, I don't want to hear about Abu's family and country woes when I'm trying to vacation with my family.

Wrong. Your reaction time cannot outpace the automated system which is processing and calculating faster than your brain and body can react.
We all like to think we can handle anything, and you might be a safe driver which is great, but you're still more likely to have an accident than these cars.

Is yours subscription based? Can you only subscribe the months you use it? I have a short commute to work, but I would like to have it for longer trips.

and i dont' want a computer making the decision on whether to hit something or brake/swerve to avoid it. I'm capable of making that split second decision.

My sentiments exactly. I'm way more comfortable when driving and no way in hell I'm getting in a driverless car to have it take me somewhere.
They can't build a washer that lasts more than about 5 years now that gets used maybe 3 times a week on average and they want me to trust a driverless car that gets used several times a day......HELL NO.
