Does he have any food plots?

If he gives you shite for drinking cold beers on your land, make it rain purple pain.

You get to pick 2 out of 3 from guns, ammo, and booze.

I have an unpopular opinion around here, guns and alcohol do not mix, hunt all you want, drink all you want, but once you start drinking hunting is over

Lmao. He’s talking above sitting on a bucket drinking beer and shooting doves. The horror!

assuming you mean "our" but he being your father in law, is it his family's land or your family's land?

By the way he talks, it might be both. You marry your cousin and your uncle becomes your FIL, right?

IMO,guns and alcohol don’t mix.I would never allow it on my land until after the hunt.

Like I said it will be unpopular opinion here (however it has had considerably more support than I thought it would)..sitting on a bucket drinking beer with a shotgun is too much of a risk for me...you do it your way, I do it mine

Not sure how this could even be a question. Guns and alcohol (or guns & drugs) drugs don't mix. Period.

Anybody who says he shoots better after a few beers needs some shooting lessons.

I used to drink that beer when dove huntin but I doubt do this year on account of these lil seltzers they make nowdays are awfully refreshing on hot summer day and don't fill you up as bad and even though pow pow says they'll make you queer I don't care cause I've been drinkin em and aint sucked a peter yet so that's what I might be drinkin on dove day.

It just isn't worth it....there is a time and place for it and anything to do with a gun is categorically not the place for any amount of alcohol

I don't really see this as an issue about drinking and shooting.

To me, this is all about why in the world your FIL thinks it is appropriate to lay down the law on your land.

If he doesn't feel comfortable participating, he doesn't need to participate. He should never mandate that you change the habits on your land to fit his comfort level, regardless of the issue.

He should have come to you and said "hey, mercerbears, I got peppered last year and dont want to be around people drinking and hunting anymore. I'll miss the dove hunting but if something changes, let me know."
