re: Do you ever get to the point where you think you have enough guns?

I’ve gotten on a kick of buying guns that are excellent deals. Like recently I bought a Kel-tec p17 for $156 and didn’t really want a 22 pistol but for $156 why not? I also don’t buy guns when they’re first released, I’ll wait several years usually before buying one because the hype dies down and the price gets a lot better. Case in point, the P17.
My next buy will be one of those Tisas 1911’s for $299.

Same here. I was speaking with my 21 year old son the other day and he said he’ll probably never have to buy a gun. Between all the ones I have, the ones I’ve bought him, and the ones he’ll inherit from his grandfathers, he’s set.
I don’t want to put a number on here, but we have a bunch and only shoot 5-6 a year.

I feel like I want a KelTeck Su16c to keep folded in a hiking backpack.

You see what you have and then say to yourself, I'm good.
There are so many different options, it's damn near impossible to just "be done".
You can have plenty of handguns, and get bitten by the AR bug. You can have a lot of ARs, and then suddenly there's something like the bolt-action uppers that BCA has, that make you consider adding one.
There can be a wave of surplus guns that hit the market, where you almost have to grab one
I recall seeing the run on Beretta 81's in .32acp a couple years ago. One day, they showed up places like J&G Sales, AIM Surplus, Classic, etc. $199 in G-VG condition. I remember thinking oh, those look interesting, and I do have a couple .32s so it would share ammo, let me check prices to see if it was a good deal.
There were several on Gunbroker, with bids already around $700. Ok I ordered one that minute.
I then went to ammoseek and priced .32 acp, there were some decent deals listed. And I ended up buying as much as I could afford from the 8th-best listing that day... because the first 7 had sold out. One of them sold out while I was trying to add to cart
Obviously, there was a HUGE run on those Berettas happening, and people were grabbing what they could get.
Long story short, you never have enough guns, until you have all the guns.

I could honestly do just find with 4 guns. A centerfire deer rifle, a 12ga shotgun, a .22, and a 9mm pistol. That'd be plenty enough for me.
Now, does that scratch the itch I have for a sako trg? No, of course not.

Gaucho will run an alter up to 56k posts just to pull our leg.

I could as well, but that’s no fun.

I still have a few guns on my list that I would like to have. Have most of the guns that I wanted but a few I still would like to buy eventually.
H&K Mark 23
H&K P7
Sig P210
Beretta O/U in 20g.
TTI Pit Viper or Sand Viper
A nice Nighthawk (have one but would like another)
I'm sure there will be others that I buy as they pop up, but those are the only ones that I know that I want.

Agreed. I wouldn't even be daydreaming about an AI AXSR if practical was the only thing that mattered

Who are you kidding? You're never done buying guns. The FFL knows you by name, has your phone number and always asks when a gun arrives... "is there more coming after this one?"

Still haven't gotten that Ithaca pump.
Oh, and the Remington 30.06 Woodblaster.

Been that way for a while. I'll probably never use many of them ever again.

The term "enough" is not truly applicable to firearms.
My wife was grumbling when she asked "Is there a corner in this house that doesn't have a gun in it?"
My response was "I hope not, but let me know if there is and I will get it fixed."

I also have more than I will use. I’m hoping my 2 young boys prove me wrong. I’m also a sucker for a good looking gun or smooth shooting shotgun. Suppressors have also changed things.

Let's just say my nephew is going to love me one day.
