They up shallow Could see them and they wouldn’t bite for anything Sunday Big arse females. Giants. Only Caught two one was 16” black

Figured they would bite better once sun was down a little so went back yesterday evening and got a dozen the last hour

Clear water and black crappie are tough to me. I fished black bayou in Monroe a lot and you could fish all day and not get a bite and soon as sun started going down it was on Overcast days were much better also

I want to go so bad, but since I've never found them shallow on TB, I am paralyzed by the decision of where.

Oh my. Now I’ll never catch that wall hanger from whatever body of water you fished yesterday.

Don't, as I recall they'll pop and sling hot grease everywhere.

Did you poke a few fork holes in them first? Works ok on trout roe when doing that.

Best way to prepare bass:

Super Bass-O-Matic '76

Wow! That's terrific bass!

I have never understood throwing one back. Maybe if you own a pond you are managing for very large bass and you want to only keep slot fish or something but otherwise no reason to throw them back I see.

I love to eat bass. I’ll keep anything 3lbs and up to eat until I have a decent amount in freezer.

I kept 20 (11"-14") Sunday.
I fish more than most
Drive a very fast glitter boat
It even has a gas pedal.
I also threw back several really nice fish (2-4 lbs)
I guess I sinned too

What’s the problem with having a gas pedal? OB doesn’t like to make boats easier to drive?

gas pedal
must have. Comfortable and safer imo. Even on my little camo tin bateau.

Also, a must have is a legitimate ruler.

Pan fish and bass are definitely goin' in!

What kind of religion do you belong to. Most of the religions in Louisiana are just the opposite. A sin to throw them back!

Mannnn....you gonna set off about 3/4 of the ppl on this board. They have an irrational jealous hate for "them thar glitter boats".

I am one that doesn't like to keep medium size bass, usually like em around 12". But if by chance you happen to keep a kicker, try it the grill on the 1/2 shell. Thank me later.

I was asking my podnuh about this the other day. His saltwater boat is white/gray and pretty cool looking. His bass boat looks like a bunch of strippers threw their glitter on a pride parade. Why are bass boats so damn loud with their colors?

Well...

Rednecks are attracted to shiny objects. UFO's, beer cans, fishing lures; if it's shiny, we like it. That's why bass boats have a glitter finish. You ever seen a yacht with a glitter finish? They put those bass boats out in the sunshine, we're hypnotized 'We must have it, here's our life savings'."

Used to love eating bass when I still lived in Louisiana out of Spillway, Bayou Black, Stephensville, Toledo Bend, pretty much anywhere. Kept the the smaller ones.

Once I moved to Florida, hell no, I'm not eating bass coming out of any of the over fertilized, runoff fed places we fish here in Central Florida. Even the "clear" water has way too many chemicals in it. Tried a bass out of a local lake one day and it was terrible.

Bass are great from the right places.

I don't have a problem with it. I'm not sure what the limit is but catch a limit and fillet them. Then go out and catch your 50 crappie. Fillet and freeze them. The OMG don't hurt the bass thing is a little strange in my mind. My wife won't eat bass.
