Summit, MS
65, wet, NW wind
Ruger M77 .243
Summit climber in some older pines.

I’ll be here for the rest of the day. PB and banana sandwich with a protein bar for lunch.

Hwy 24 had some water ripping underneath. Didn’t have any issues on the south side of upper glading. Our creek is flowing really good. I didn’t even attempt to cross it.

Area 6
65° NW wind
28 nosler

Headed out this morning after taking a break for a few days. Came to some new ground. Scouted my way in and found some solid rubs in a thick arse swamp bottom. In my saddle, 2 sticks high in a cypress tree. Got a couple wicks out with code blue on them. It should be going down all week with this front moving in. Hopefully the one rubbing these trees will make an appearance. Good luck!

Lunch break in town. Tacos and enchiladas with fresh tortillas and tea for under ten bucks. I love these short south Texas trips.

Drove out through some rain for a sit with the boy. First spot taken, second spot works. Ground blind. I thought it was letting up so instead of waiting in the car a bit we rolled out and set up in some sideways stuff. Bubbas nearby are popping off their Saturday freedom rounds. A donkey sounded excited a minute ago. Good times.

Nothing like a good hound hunt.....it is still a blast! And a damn good way to kill mature bucks!

We ran this morning here in north Florida. Good 8 point got killed by a new member. Got way too hot way too quick. Gonna sit behind the house in a few. 80 degrees sucks in January.

How much you want for that shotgun?

We closed the book on our deer season also. Had lots of good times sitting with my son this year in the stand.
