They are not as light as fishing shirts, which is what I mostly wear in the summer.

I guess my problem is I need a shirt that is long sleeve but also tough when I’m running the chainsaw, or fixing fence, or whatever. I’ve ripped the old Magellan fishing shirts. Just trying something new.

Personally I am too cheap to wear a $90 shirt fir that type of work. Also, I think the lighter weight long sleeves will tear up just as easy as a Magellan.

I've had issues with their western shirts fraying bad. Warrantied them, no problem usually. I buy the rugged wear ones now and they're considerably better quality, just limited on colors for now.

Redhead brand should be what you’re looking for.
No way I’m wearing a $100 shirt with a chain saw.

This was my experience. I had several I’d been wearing for over a year, but were missing buttons.

Sent them an email and they replaced all three with new shirts.

I have a couple redhead flannels and they have held up great.

I like Poncho because they are one of the few brands that have "slim" fit

I hate a baggy shirt and it seems like a lot of the other brands cater to the larger crowd

ponchos are less baggy, can get a little short waisted in some colors, I have about 10. Orvis sleeves are odd as shite and too long, they just fall funny on me. I’m not a huge burlebro fan, but their snap shirt is superior to Poncho to me, Fabrics are similar, shoulders are similar, buttons are same except burlebro puts an odd in between one at the next top buttton, Burlebro is slightly slimmer and longer which helps us thicker guys.

I have noticed this, which is annoying

seems like half of them are an inch too short while the others are perfect

Columbia needs to get rid of all that crap on the chest. I don’t need seven pockets and a Velcro loop.

I have several as well. The camo shirt is my go to in teal season or dove season.

But I'm glad you approve!

What’s y’all’s favorite style? Original/western/denim etc…

I supervise blue collar work but don’t actually do much so looking for one that says hey I could do some physical labor if I needed to (but won’t be)

Orvis is close in quality and fit, but I always grab a Poncho these days.

I think that’s a thing of the past. With their store closures I hear they’re about to start outsourcing. It was a good ride

Tractor Supply has what youre looking for. I use the wrangler pearl snap denims for that and dont feel bad when I tear them up.

Do you have their performance flannel shirt? If so, how do you like it?
