What is this grassy weed. It has taken over my yard. Doesn't look bad, but grows about 10 times as fast as my grass.

Anything to get rid of it without destroying my yard?

I know it grows in my flower beds which means it gets the round up every week. they do grow fast but I don't have them in my yard. I'm no help.

Appreciate it man. Its not the worst weed in the world because it makes my lawn look more thick, but I've got better things to do than mow every 3 days.

Round Up will not eliminate torpedo grass. will come back from the roots.
