Weatherby Mark V - good deal?

Might be able to acquire one for $2000. Weatherby Mark V, great condition, wood stock, old Swarovski scope included. Chambered in 378 Weatherby Mag.
I’ve always wanted the round because it has a notorious reputation for recoil and is significantly more powerful than the 375 H&H.
Is it a value purchase?

I love guns and buying guns and hardly ever say no to it. I just looked at midway and they have ammo for it at 9$ a round. I would never shoot 9$ bullets unless I truly needed to ( elephants or hippo) so I say not a good deal.

I'm a fan of boomers, but oof. Not those.
How old is the rifle? I believe certain weatherbys are more valuable than others dependent on their location of build. Weatherby has moved a few times.
