What are these birds?

Storks. They’ll do this during a hurricane. It’s like they migrate north out of the storm.

Those are wood storks. I have only seen one in my life and it wasn’t in Mississippi.

come visit the Atchafalaya Basin. at right time they are are all over the place. cool but ugly (imo) bird. they are indicative of a healthy ecosystem

? We get white pelicans in Mobile Bay for a limited time but that's not them

Wood storks. See them all around south Louisiana. An ugly looking bird but a big bird. They generally hang out then move on.

Wood stork. They are all around our pond at times. We had one that would come up to our pool cage door and just stand there for 30 mins. Like he was begging to come it.

They seem to move around more in the fall. When I lived in middle Georgia we'd see them in the fall sometimes, but never any other time of the year.
