I don't know why anyone would allow a stranger of any race making minimum wage to care for either.
Every time one of these threads comes up it blows my mind that people routinely drop off babies who can't defend themselves or even tell you what happened at school that day at a daycare ALL DAY for strangers making minimum wage to "care" for them.
Even if they aren't abused, kids need adults who actually love them to care for them. A parent/grandparent/aunt/uncle...somebody who actually has some kind of connection with them.

I agree with all of this.
Children need love, not just "care". Especially the defenseless and yet to be conversationally verbal.
I am against warehousing children.

Go look at many senior living/assisted living/nursing homes and see who works there. As the bulge in the boomers work through their last years, there will likely be a big surge in elder abuse at the hands of the staff.

I've already seen a lot of it in the news. Physical abuse, mental abuse, theft, etc...
