The DOI recognizes natural rights, specifically naming life, liberty, pursuit of happiness, and the right to overthrow tyrannical government. That does not mean every right cited in the Constitution is a natural right.

Legalized Dueling

Only if you include rapiers and smallswords.

Finally fencing for all those years will come in handy!

Weapons used in said duel is decided by the participating parties and recorded in writing in the dueling consent form.

So in other words pass a bunch of stupid fricking laws and try to legislate/regulate the issue away. No better than the gun control tards.

Actually, any and all not mentioned are rights (not to be disparaged) and the BOR is a recognition of rights and the restrictions on government relative to those rights.

This is a little message to all you Progs who are anti-2nd Amendment from the 55 million gun owners in the US.

Not only are we wIlling to die to protect our right to bear arms, we are willing to kill to protect it.

Are you willing to do the same?

The difference is that my proposal actually makes people safer and freer by creating the fear of reciprocity in every would-be shooter. EVERY mass shooting occurs in areas where guns are not allowed. This is no accident. They purposefully target areas where people are most vulnerable.

Criminals don't follow laws.

Law-abiding citizens abide by laws. We should make sure that the laws never prevent the law-abiding from defending themselves from those who would do them harm.

The unorganized militia is still every able-bodied citizen.
Except the soyboys on the left, we don't need them.

Well, on second though, they would make good cannon fodder.

First, we require everyone to answer this question to vote:

"How many deaths in the United States are caused by firearms?"

Any answer other than zero removes their right to vote for three years.

I think that right there solves the problem, at least as far as I care about the problem. The snowball would take care of the rest all on its own.

The British started a war by trying to sieze control of an old arms and ammunition depot that the locals were willing to defend to the death.

See, those arms depots were left behind by the British on purpose, so that the local citizenry would be able to defend themselves in the event of future Indian attacks or French incursions. The people of the colonies were expected to defend themselves until the British army could arrive from overseas to relieve them.

However, when those colonists started to become unruly, the British attempted to cease those reserves, fearing they would be used on the British troops occupying Boston's port in the wake of the protests. The people were willing to defend those arms depots to the death, and the British died. That skirmish sparked a world war and birthed a nation.

It looks like simply banning democrats from owning guns would prevent most mass shootings.

That doesn't mean every right cited is natural. The father of the Constitution wrote on this at length describing many of the rights in the Bill of Rights as social rights while others as natural.

Then why isn’t the death penalty a deterrent? You have no basis for what your saying.

Death penalty isn't a deterrent because it takes 20+ years of appeals for death to occur.

You are headed in the right direction. Let me help you out;

10 U.S. Code § 246 - Militia: composition and classes

(a) The militia of the United States consists of all able-bodied males at least 17 years of age and, except as provided in section 313 of title 32, under 45 years of age who are, or who have made a declaration of intention to become, citizens of the United States and of female citizens of the United States who are members of the National Guard.
(b) The classes of the militia are—
(1) the organized militia, which consists of the National Guard and the Naval Militia; and
(2) the unorganized militia, which consists of the members of the militia who are not members of the National Guard or the Naval Militia.
