Hard to come to grips with this.
All the reporting says that the case had major evidentiary problems ... not least that the mother gave contradictory evidence and initially swore that this guy did not harm the child.

Rather than risking a "not guilty" verdict arising from weak evidence, the prosecutor agreed to a plea deal that at last keeps this guy away from kids for five years.

It is obviously not ideal, but sometimes you just get a shite case and do the best you can with it.
and the baby daddy didn't kill both of these pieces of cormorant excrement.

Probably in prison already.

Women who hook up with this type of thug usually have a HISTORY of hooking up with this type of thug.

I would be surprised if she doesn't already have a new man ... with face tattoos.

Mom said boy was injured in a fall.

There’s the root of the problem.

Prosecutor and Judge should be in jail...

You misspelled "in a pine box".

This is fricking outrageous and a travesty of justice. When a dog is rabid, you put it down. There's no place in society for anyone like that.

Well if she committed perjury under oath, she needs to be prosecuted. I'm guessing this ever so concerned DA isn't going to bother with that though. Even when that perjury resulted in a slap on the wrist to a baby killer.

I also have my doubts that the best job was done gathering evidence or even paying attention to it. Scans of the baby can show precisely if it was shaken.

Exactly like the 1860s, why does America hate the blacks?
None of the players in this saga appear to be Black.

Is this some form of Racist Tourette's?

The mother put the judge and the prosecutor in this quandary. No one else. They are being attacked by imbeciles who cannot be bothered to read the story, because SHE was a horrible parent who failed to protect her child.

The child was beat to death. So either he or the mother should be in prison for the rest of their life. Choose one.

Mom needs a hysterectomy at the very least.. she has proven incapable of nurturing and protecting a child's life.

No problem with the evidence in that case, apparently.

Because of those evidentiary concerns, prosecutors agreed to accept the voluntary manslaughter

Not that it matters but per the article I read he pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter.

The POS mom lied twice and said nothing happened to the boy. The third time she was questioned she was told that she was a suspect and that’s when she told the truth. They should lock her arse up.

SFP thinks he was overpunished. Kid was probably crying, or some other bothersome scenario for men of his "kind"
