When so you think this'll happen?

Nope. I'm buying land on an island, near a small town and will do as I please. If you choose to live in their society, it will suck for you. Conservatives are too soft.

Make sure you live in a parish/county that is overwhelmingly conservative with conservative elected officials especially the district attorney. It’ll also help if your parish/county is surrounded by likeminded parishes/counties. You want a buffer zone.

It allows subsistence hunting/fishing. I'm set. We have entire villages and towns with few laws and no police presence.

You'll never change the system. Americans are totally ignorant of simple economics, they can't understand why their free stuff leads to unaffordability.

I think you're getting it now. Just how the founding fathers wanted it. Also secular and free from religion. You're almost there.

fricking A.
Hypothetically speaking.

But I don't think all is lost when it comes to getting elections back to normal.

There has to be legitimate investigations into voter fraud though, and the ones responsible need to go to prison. Forever.

Not everybody votes but a city like NYC outweighs the rest of the state bc of its population. We need to make these big cities into city states at least.

Or you can adjust the platform to include what's important to those voters.

The current US system is heavily weighted towards two parties. If you can't compromise and want smaller parties with a specific voice, you need to go to a country with a parliamentary system.

Progressivism is a religious cult. Its just based on morals you prefer.

Your generation does not understand the very basic of economics. So no.

I'd much rather watch you fail, than to bail you out.

Like Bolshevik pronoun authoritarianism? Because if we’re to believe no cheating is occurring anywhere then that is what’s coming and what the voters are green lighting

My generation X is probably the most fiscally responsible of them all. Not sure what you're smoking.

I was raised in poverty and will be leaving my children and hopefully grandchildren generational wealth.

Absolutely.
These little zoomers have no fricking clue what they want and how it will affect them.

Until they feel pain, nothing changes.

Youre not. If so, you could understand economics.

the current situation is not sustainable. I hope you get the kind of government you want, as you will fail.

And I will enjoy watching you kids learn a few lessons. You'll come begging back for help soon enough.

What are your thoughts on this?

Fist of all, it's stupid. The divisions aren't geographic anymore. More people voted for Trump in 2020 in California than Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Arkansas and South Carolina combined. More people voted for Biden in Texas than Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Connecticut, and Rhode Island combined. What are you going to do with all the blue people in your red states?

Second of all, it's simply treasonous. If you hate this country so much, why don't you just leave it instead of trying to destroy it?

It absolutely will lead to a shooting war.

Any fantasies that end with a new nation separate and free from the United States will be paid for in blood, and lots of it. Not a little. A lot.

So if you’re down for that, okay. But don’t think for even one second that it won’t be like that, because it most certainly will. And here’s why:

People with dreams of utopia… a Republican one or a Democrat one, view the other side not simply as someone they respectfully disagree with, but someone who is evil. After all, if they were good, how could they possibly be against a (my) perfect and fair society? People go to war over that.

I’m not going to tell anyone they are wrong for wanting a new state that better represents them. All I’m saying is that there is a price to pay for it.

I've heard very little about this lately. It's the only state that could really try this outside of California.

Beyond that, they will never exist in a state where there is no disagreement. And as long as disagreement is couched in terms of good and evil, there is no end to the balkanization.

At some point you have to learn how to live with people with whom you disagree.

Californians have been discussing it. Of course, they've killed off their middle class. It would just be the very wealthy and their serfs.

Just have a peek at the “you’re either for Trump or you love the GOPe” fight happening on this board.

Yeah I've seen it. It's like strange bedfellows but Texas and California have something in common.
