Well you did have the Democrat in Minnesota who was killed. That was supposedly a right wing guy,but he had worked for Tim Walz. You also had the plot to kidnap Gretchen Whitmer, but I think that case got thrown out because the FBI basically instigated the whole thing.

It's solely for self preservation at this point. The media went so deep down the DNC rabbit hole that they cannot pull themselves out without bankrupting and destroying their company and careers. They cannot flip the switch now and report truths because they would then have to answer to what they had been reporting for the last 20-30 years. They would lose 2-3 generations of viewers and the backlash would be historic.
