Like undisciplined children, if something doesn't go their way, they stomp their feet, scream, and pout.

No your right thats why each county should be assigned a % of the states EC votes based on its population. But one city should decide where the whole states EC votes go.

I have often told people where I work... The most dangerous/difficult person is the one who is catastrophically wrong but they think they are in the right...

Yup. People used to just laugh and make fun of them. Now with anit-bullying, "microaggressions", and zero-tolerance rules the idiocy cannot be pointed out. We're just supposed to accept the stupid ideas on equal with actual good ideas. Clown world.

And there is nothing you can say that would disabuse them of the notion that ignorance is a virtue.
Hell, just look at those on here that try to use their own ignorance as evidence.

Ignorance, victimhood, all considered virtue. And it's silly. Winning is considerd "aggression". Trying to be successful is "an attack". These are the people that used the first to get eaten.

I do agree that the EC does need an overhaul. It should be by a county/parish level so that one city or area in a state doesnt decide where all of the EC votes go. Sorry but when a candidate wins 3084 of 3141 counties/parishes in this country, the election should not be close.
Our population is more concentrated now than it was during the founding. If anything the equal proportion component of the EC should be LARGER now. Abolishing it is an incredibly stupid idea.

I agree, which is why I said each country/parish should get a % of the states EC votes based on population.

Example lets say LA has 5 million people and Orleans parish has 1 million. Op should get 20% of the states EC votes awarded to the winner of Orleans parish.

lets say Calcasieu has 500k, the winner of CP should get 10% of the states EC votes awarded to him/her.

stop awarding a whole states EC votes as a lump sum. This helps everyone's votes count more and nullifies the fact that states are huge and different regions have different priorities/morals.

I’m seeing people post stuff all over social media calling for the abolition of the Supreme Court because:

The judiciary is the real leader of the country because of the bullshite that it judicial review. Marbury v. Madison is the single worst Supreme Court opinion in our history. Even worse than Wickard and Roe.

The Articles of Confederation didn't have a Supreme Court, just saying.

If this is true, then the Republic is already doomed.

What its death throes look like, and what kind of society ends up succeeding it, are TBD.

I think it's a good idea. NV would be the perfect example, where two counties determine election outcome.

Liberals never once said the Supreme Court was illegitimate or needed abolishing when it was supporting abortion with Roe, gay marriage with Obergefell, or affirmative action with Fisher.

But now that the court may tilt rightwards for once (after decades of liberalism,) suddenly it's illegitimate and needs to go.

Supreme Court doesn't

establish policies for millions of people

That's what the legislative branch does.

Do these people not know basic government functions?

It's not a democracy, but they're not entirely wrong. There's no way the Founding Fathers ever intended the judiciary to have as much power as it does now. Even some SCOTUS justices have admitted this. The Supreme Court has become so important precisely because it has become damn near all powerful in our government. This didn't use to be the case.

How often do we complain that no matter how we vote in elections, the courts force things on us? Gay marriage lost in referendum after referendum. It took judges imposing it on us to make it the law. People have just given up on their government in some part because they think "It doesn't matter, some judge will just rule the way he wants".

Way past time to resolve that. Permanently.
