All kidding aside, she probably should be nominated but the pressure from the Washington Republican establishment is probably going to once again push a DC Court of Appeals judge who is pushed by Larry Leo of The Federalist Society.....another Yale grad or Ivy Leaguer.

Trump was directly asked about her when he nominated Kavanaugh. He alluded to RBG stepping down soon as the time he would probably nominate her. I’m sure someone could dig up the actual quote.

If this is his choice for SC it gives Biden a better chance of winning. It motivates feminists and libertarians to vote for Biden. Does not help with Asians and Jews either.

Obvious angle will be to attack her Catholicism and defense of pro-life positions. However, she did teach law at Notre Dame for 15 years, so I expect several students to step up and accuse her of making sexist or racist remarks in the classroom. Also, she has not been on a circuit court for a long time, so they will attack her lack of experience.

I’m thinking that ACB is a head-fake at this point: her being the only one reported to meet with him at the White House, leaks to the press that he’s close to picking her, and all the media pieces and blue-check twitter talking about Barrett the past two days. Add to it that Trump will be in Florida for a rally on Thursday with an open date on Friday (he said he’d have a pick by Friday or Saturday), and I think he may be leaning towards Lagoa
