If Arbery isn’t the guy in the earlier surveillance videos, it’s definitely going to be hammered home by the prosecution.
“You weren’t even chasing the right guy!”
Agreed, but he still could have seen Aubrey "the other night" even if someone else is in the videos.

I'm sorry I must have missed where I wrote a comment that was hysteric and loud in nature..

Too bad he didn't live in Texas where you can shoot a fleeing burglar.

I’m not sure that’s as much hyperbole as it appears. The time that we see on video would have been at least the third time they blocked him from running away.
They could have shot him a few times but didn't. It is clear they didn't intend to just go in guns blazing.

It helps if the police are watching and the burglars come onto your property. But conflate at your own leisure.

Same here, just replace hysteric and loud in nature with bitchy.

If the deceased had stolen something that night, and the killers had witnessed it, and everything went down exactly the same after that, would your opinion be different?
It would make more sense.

Oh please.
We have clear video now. Dude took a HARD left. Anyone trying to pretend he didn't initiate contact at this point simply cannot be taken seriously.

Neither white dude I saw in that video could have caught Arbury on foot if you put them on fricking motorized scooters.
He could have run by junior super easy. And then, if junior shoots, junior's fricked.
I think at this point that you know that he wasn't just "jogging" but rather, that from the very outset, he was "fleeing" to avoid being caught.
But, you're vested now. I get it.
Fortunately for me, I waited.

The end result is still them trying to detain someone they didn’t have the legal right to detain and that altercation ending in death.

Cornered? LOL
Come on
LINK
Hemmed in on three sides by the South Brunswick River. He was not going anywhere and he knew it if he really did jog in that small area.

They pretty clearly weren't TRYING to shoot him. Hell, half the "evidence" being provided here to crucify them, PROVES that.

I'm not sure what you're referencing but Joe Horn shot two illegals in the back on his neighbors property and got off because Texas has a statute allowing for the use of deadly force to protect property that you think would otherwise be unrecoverable. Basically all Joe had to do was say he feared that if those guys took his neighbors property in their car and drove off his neighbor would likely not get his property back.
Huge shite storm in the media, the guy walked. Not saying I agree or disagree with the law, just that that's the law in Texas. Or at least was a decade or so ago.

So. Can't see it.

I admit that I really haven't followed this deeply, so I'm in no shape to opine really.
From the little bit I know, if I'm on the jury, he walks.

He did take a hard left. And Jr is moving towards him.
When he first rounds the corner in the video and sees the truck ahead of him, you can see him slow down. He’s probably been running for a little bit - a half mile or so after running out of the new construction house with his adrenaline pumping.
The McMichaels had attempted to cut him off earlier. The videographer had tried to cut him off. And now the videographer is behind him and the McMichaels are in front of him.
It’s ridiculous to ascribe to someone in that situation what their response is always going to be. I’m not vested in it. I just think that I don’t understand what a person might think their options actually are in the situation.
Posted on 5/11/20 at 2:45 pm to Parmen
I will go out on a limb and say that what the McMichaels did was far worse than anything the victim is purported to have done even if Arbery had lived.
Arbery at worse is/was guilty of trespassing on a construction site . At most a fine. The McMichael baws would have been guilty of aggravated assault and attempted illegal imprisonment. The citizen arrest statute did not apply here.
They acted with careless and malicious disregard towards Arbery. If I were a local judge I would remand without bail. That's how fricked up they acted. I would also make sure that they never get thrir 2nd Amenfment rights back until dad is in the grave and junior is racked with arthritis
Vigilantes are more dangerous than the criminals they deliver "justice" to.
