Apparently they take their time building houses in Georgia.
The home isn’t going to be finished.

There’s plenty defending what they did.

Because the outrage warriors sent death threats to the owner right?

A news report literally set up the story with "former high school football player"....wtf?
dude , was what? 26?
former high school football player.
how the hell is that a relevant detail to launch into the rest of the report.

Stop making it seem like jogging in cargo shorts, timberlands with a hammer isn’t common workout gear.
Once same jackass on a website says he was wearing Timberlands, people repeat it until they die. Same as the idiots saying he was out for a jog.

McMichael stated they took them because they thought Arbery was armed.
And why did they think he was armed? They state why in the police report FYI and it has nothing to do with a handgun that was taken from them several months prior.
BTW if they try to make that argument at trial, good luck having a jury find it reasonable to believe a random person is armed because a gun was stolen from your truck several months prior.

On the 911 call, the neighbor says the owner has had heart problems and isn’t going to be able to finish it. It’s been in the works for some time. On Apple maps, it’s a concrete pad.

I’ve randomly checked out houses under construction before. Glad no one shot me I guess.
Not saying he wasn’t a thief but this doesn’t prove he was

Holy shite that’s some damning video of him walking around inside that unfinished house. Thank God he’s dead and can no longer be such a menace to society. As someone on here stated the other day, those guys are heroes.

Which isn't a stretch considering he had a gun charge already.

Very few, though not literally no one, are actually explicitly defending the McMichaels. However, by the time we’re in thread #46 with further details about what a low-life Arbery was, it seems more and more plausible that many folks are really just mounting an implied defense.

No. He was going in at night to tighten up some of the shoddy work being done by the various trades.

So when the cops asked them about why they took guns, why didn't they mention that?
Maybe they did??

The interview with the owner I read said he was building it because a lake house was on his bucket list and he had been sick, and now (after the event and the response) he doesn’t think he can move there.

Literally no one is arguing this. However, if you think this guy was an innocent victim who was gunned down for being black and jogging in a majority white neighborhood, then you're an idiot. Clearly the people in this neighborhood knew who this guy was and that he was suspected of being a thief. Otherwise, why does the guy living next door to this construction site immediately call the police when they see him snooping around, and why does Arbery take off at a dead sprint when he notices someone outside on the phone?

As a society of laws created by her citizens America decided a long time ago how we would handle guns in our Nation.
The law says you can have a gun, but you can only shoot a fellow citizen under strict circumstances.
1. Your life or safety is being threatened.
2. Someone is in your house.
We decided (by the laws our representatives made) that you can not shoot someone who was fleeing to protect your property.
The two guys in this case came at someone who was fleeing with guns, an altercation happened, and a man is dead.
The guys with guns broke the law we decided on as a society. They need to go to jail.
It does not matter if the guy broke into a house, stole a hammer or whatever. We decided a long time ago you can not shoot someone because they stole your property and are running away.
As a Nation of laws if we decide a person should be able to shoot someone running down the street carrying your TV set then we need to work to change the law.
Personally, I think the law is the best we are going to get and it should not be changed.

He just needed a place to rest in between his long jogs with boots on.
About the only thing I learned new from this video is he was wearing high tops, not boots.
I already knew he was a thief (well I was pretty sure), and those two red necks are in deep shite.

Yet, the one person who says he recognized him from surveillance- chased him with guns but didn’t just tell his former LEO buddies that he knew he was and have the police handle it?
