Thankfully we are moving (slowly) towards common sense laws our self. I’m not saying we need to be like Australia. But our own failure to act means the continued school shootings, etc., are on our politician’s hands.

We have this concept of freedom in our country. In fact we fought for our own independence. American freedom is probably something you would call toxic, because it is in your face and unashamed. We love our freedom and that makes us different than the rest of the world. You can move elsewhere or shut the frick up.

Sounds racist and xenophobic.

Hes going to be surprised by whats on the market.

The GForce Arms GFDRUM2012 20-round drum magazine offers reliable performance for shooters using compatible 12-gauge shotguns.

Trump was almost killed himself for christsake. Common sense gun laws could have protected him.

How?

How would these laws protect him?

My first gun (it kicked like a mule) was a single (long) barrel 12 gauge. You had to be accurate with that first shot because you probably weren’t getting a second.

Yep, my first shotgun was a single shot 12 ga. My first rifle was a 22 long, 18 rd.

Hunted with a guy who firmly believed having a single shot made him a much better shooter, until we went dove hunting and he decided there might be holes in his theory

What be would be your compromise to protect those who need protecting (school children)?

Australia has acknowledged they have the power to make a difference and they’ve acted.

I’ve offered my (common sense) proposals. I’ll listen to yours.

The long barrel made it easy to get that first squirrel from a long distance. Good luck getting his buddy though. And shooting a slug or buckshot while deer hunting (from that fricker) was a delightful experience.

Yes that’s one proposal.

Wouldn’t even have to limit firearms (as long as they’re small caliber). You can hunt, shoot for fun, self defense, all of it. Just the capacity is limited. If you want to shoot more, just reload.

It’s the dead giveaway of someone who has NO clue, but wants to SOUND like they know what they’re talking about.

It’ll end in extermination but at least we won’t be called racist (well we will still be called racist but we won’t feel as bad about it).

Attack the causes.

Stop breaking childrens minds with fairy tale nonsense so they are less inclined to be traumatized and angry. Gender ideology, Covid lockdowns, etc..

2021 had the greatest number of incidents with 249. The next highest year was 2022 with 153 (note this only includes through June)

I wonder what happened the year prior to 2021..

The odds of you getting killed in a school shooting are beyond minuscule. In 2022, 50 kids were killed in school shootings, out of 50 million students.

I'll never understand why Americans are so concerned with other countries' gun laws. The US has the least restrictive gun laws in the history of the planet, you can't apply the same standard to other countries whose governments have never identified gun ownership as a God-given right.

And maybe other civilized countries just won't tolerate the gun crimes we do here in the US. We pay a high price for our Second Amendment rights that other countries aren't willing to pay: the highest gun crime rate among developed nations.
