Considering last nights releases, you're probably right.
However, i don't think it will be another bombshell. it will probably just be concrete confirmation that this is, in fact, Hunter Biden's laptop. Maybe even a security cam picture of Hunter entering/leaving the laptop repair shop on the day in question.
But, we are seeing already, that that won't matter. The media will NEVER REPORT what we have seen over the last few days. EVER. They know their supporters rely solely on biased news, and will not dare let something damaging to the left be aired. Politics is a religion to them. And power is their god. Nothing is off limits to the left. No crime is too big to be covered up. WIN AT ALL COSTS....ALL COSTS. That is their mindset. That is what we have to defeat. It is a war!

I'd guess they have calculated the best time to release in order to limit the Biden team from having time to formulate a response. Heck I wouldn't doubt if it comes out a couple hours before the debate. You can bet the President knows what it is, and has already prepared his attack.

Biden will be safe at the debate. The moderator will not allow Trump to ask questions about the laptop. This will result in a debate between Trump and the moderator and Trump will be called a racist, sexist, bully.

Biden's bedtime is probably 6pm, so the later he drops it today, the less time Biden can prepare.
