A number of Rodeo Drive stores have had “appointment only” policies for years.
If a store is high end enough, they can get away with it as long as Oprah isn’t claiming they wouldn’t let her in because she was black. Despite there being footage of her being let in and helped in the Hermès store in question.

Beetlejuice is not doing enough to prevent the never-ending murder of black people in her city. Chicago still has city leaders that won't institute plans like having more police in the city, making sure that they've got crime cameras that are actually operational, locking up their guns at night, chaining high-risk criminals. These criminal-elements can be something attracting a lot of organized crime and murder.

I'm sure it works the same way in Chicago, but that doesn't work large scale, especially in the current social climate. They'll be burning them down for that next. The point is the conflict.

What's eventually going to happen is between stupidity like this and the ability to shop online cities like Chicago are not going to have retail stores at all, they will simply go to online only and goodbye to the retail jobs in that city. Which hell, that probably gives left wingers a hard on, ain't many things they like better than putting people out of work

They will love they until they realize that it means they need to drive X hours to find a store to shop in, period.
Doubly so when, say, Amazon or DoorDash has drivers go on strike and refuse to deliver orders. Not that DoorDash’s drivers deliver worth a shite IMHO…

There is a solution! If you are afraid or hesitant to shoot at the robbers destroying your country, then at least make the laws work!
In California, as I understand it, less than $ 950 the police will not arrest the thief? Well then, assign a higher price to all goods and that's it. One snickers costs $ 951.
Anyone who comes up with goods and cash for payment is a good 95% discount. and that's it
Those who stole, the police are obliged to catch because the price is already suitable for local law

police will use the market price of goods in figuring that $950 and not necessarily your price
