Maybe it's the thread title which influenced me before hearing it, but I hear nothing but "I was fricking your wife". Even looking closely at his lips, I don't see the word "to" form. Also, the moment after he says it, the guy on the stage with him raises his eyebrows slightly and leans in with a bit of a "WHAT did he just say?" look on his face.
Joe even apologized almost immediately after.
I mentioned the other day that we're going to be more and more likely for Joe to have a Ron Burgundy moment as we get closer to the election and he makes more appearances while he continues to degenerate. This is one of those.

"talking to your wife" is the most clear thing he said in that clip. Everything else was pure jibberish, but he definitely said "Talking".
