Here is my opinion how it goes down. For the Democrats its Game 2 of a 3 game series and they are losing by 10 runs. They aren't going to empty the bullpen (Whitmer, Newsome, Pritzker, etc.). They are going to ride it out with Harris and hope something miraculous happens and if not they have a fresh team for 2028.

So Harris loses to Trump in November but Biden is still President until January. Sometime between the election and Trump's inauguration Joe is removed from power, either he passes away or some other reason. And Harris becomes President for a day.

How many policy decisions will still come out being Biden has not been seen or heard from. I don't think he knew what was going on day to day anyway.

Loomer reporting about 5 minutes ago that he is entering a terminal state. Supposedly flight restrictions have gone up for presidential movement in Delaware. Who knows what is true and not true at the moment. This election cycle has been crazy.

It might be true, but Laura Loomer wouldn't have a source to that info.

Regardless:

Strategically, wouldn't it make sense for the Dems to 25 Joe?

It makes Kamala President, and gives her the "power" of incumbency. She can immediately make changes that make her seem different from Joe.

It removes Joe's lingering, doddering presence from the headlines and pushes her to the forefront

It helps cut off (but obviously doesn't completely do so) the calls for investigations into "what she knew" about his condition

I can't believe that isn't the next move.

I’d imagine Dr Jill and the palace guard will not want to surrender power quite yet

Isn’t it bizarre we haven’t seen him?

They can't do anything about it if Kamala can rally the troops to invoke the 25th

It just makes way too much sense strategy wise

I know it was a bad week for with the failed assassination attempt, but are you at least excited about Kamala?

Boebert demanding proof of life again. Earlier she said she was demanding proof by 5:00 PM.

Honestly at this point, I think he is incapacitated to some degree. There is no way the POTUS just resigns by a letter posted to social media and then no one sees or hears from him afterwards.

Just a reminder, that if he is actually dead, that conveniently solves Democrats issues with making sure their candidate is on the ballot in Nevada and Wisconsin.

at one point does it become a national security threat?

if he can't address the nation, who is running things?

i mean we all know it is and has been a cabal of people running his tenure but still,

Yes, she has a much worse chance than Joe does

Trump should have goaded Biden into staying in the race. The democrats have a much better chance with Kamala.

I agree in theory but posted earlier- they wait until the convention and it's official for her and then he resigns or dies . She is CIC and meets with everyone and is presidential for 2 months giving the air of authority and all the cool things like women leaders in Europe/ Zelenskyy bs etc - covers of magazines

And this:
quote:

Source tells me that Steve Ricchetti, the Counselor to @JoeBiden actually wrote the letter

I went to high school with him and his brother.
