Thats BS. Biden will be fed all of his answers.

Trump needs a coherent debate performance badly. Once he has one he will be right back in the race.
This will be fine - it’s a town hall format so the “virtual” setting (even having the questions in advance) isn’t quite as big an advantage for Biden as it would be in a typical debate format.

It's because candidates can be muted at will.

Not a big fan of this, but it could help Trump hone his tactics, too.
Trump was a little bit too much sledgehammer last go round, he needs some of Pence's finesse. I also think Trump, rather than interrupting, needs to use his time to rebut previous Biden BS and paint Biden into a corner over: packing the court, ending filibuster, ending fracking, repealing Trump tax cuts, etc. The moderator is NOT going to make Biden answer, so Trump's time would be well spent shining a bright spotlight on it.

I cannot believe how weak the republicans are. We just had an open debate last night.
Why in the heck would they agree to this setup.
I bet the Biden team is giddy.

Won't matter. He will be muted so can't interrupt. Also if he doesn't "stay on topic," he could be muted.

This will be a disaster.
Biden will have a prompter or ear piece or note in front of him.

If Trump just cribs from Pence’s demeanor he’d win the next 2 debates by default.
The roles have been reversed - the bar is now super low for Trump.

At least it’s happening

I don't think they'd try that if he's within his timing standards. It's his time and he can use it how he likes.

Got me thinking- Biden just did a town hall. Insist on Trump's virtual attendance, but not Biden's. Require Biden to appear in front of the audience and have Trump on a giant screen looming over Joe.

Trump should be in the Oval Office then. Contrasted with biden's basement, it will be nice imagery.

Why the frick would the Trump campaign agree that this... better to postpone rather than switch to virtual.
Another self inflicted wound for the Trump campaign.

Trump should pull the same shite Biden will absolutely be doing...have Pence stand in the corner of the room off camera, feeding him responses via sign language...hope they're both fluent in ASL

Not to mention, he will be beyond his quarantine period.
Completely idiotic plan.

Agree... they already said he’s got antibodies and the virus is dead in his body. Another week from now he will be completely clear and you can’t get it twice.
He better refuse to wear a mask from here on out.
