I thought the affirmation action marketing hire was suppose to sell more beer, not less...?

Any guesses as to why they're not marketing trannies with this beer?

The softening of Bud Light sales has NOTHING--let me RE-peat that-- NOTHING to do with Anheuser-Busch going "woke."

No one here us speaking of a softening sales trend. There could be a sharp decline in sales directly correlating with this "what's March madness!?!?" bullshite.

Grupo Modelo is not owned by Budweiser. They are owned by AB InBev. The marketing campaign for this tranny was done by the VP of marketing for Bud Light.

In addition, Constellation Brands, a completely separate company from AB InBev has the rights to all Modelo sales in the US.

Shouldn’t we boycott all of AB beers?

Sure. I’ve been doing that for decades unrelated to this current controversy.

But what’s the goal of boycotting?

The purpose of a boycott is to inflict some economic loss on the target, or to indicate a moral outrage, to try to compel the target to alter an objectionable behavior.

Right. So I would think a targeted boycott of the product doing the idiotic campaign would be most effective. That’s Bud Light.

I don’t think there’s one right answer here. But that’s my answer. (Caveat: I don’t drink beer.)

I still can't grasp the concept of pandering to the super-minutia of society with your brand in the name of being "inclusive". The brand and product in and of itself is without limit to whom it is consumed by. In the end, you like how something tastes or you don't.

Bud Light boycott over trans activist Dylan Mulvaney pact ‘has legs’ as sales outlook thrown into doubt

Some clips:

Squabbles have broken out at bars and distributors are canceling events featuring the iconic Clydesdale horses.

“This boycott seems to have more legs than most,” Justin Kendall, editor of beer industry trade publication Brewbound, told The Post.

The backlash is having a chilling effect in Middle America where Anheuser-Busch distributors are feeling the heat.

Wil Fischer Companies canceled an event in Springfield, Mo. where the iconic Clydesdale horses were supposed to make an appearance, citing safety concerns for their employees, according to local reports.

Anheuser-Busch has remained silent about the Mulvaney flap and its social media has been temporarily suspended.

Last week, restaurateur Guy Cummins, who owns Smokin’ This and That BBQ in Florence, Ky., posted a Facebook message that he’d no longer be serving Budweiser beer in his restaurant because of the alliance with Mulvaney.

Right. The right never organizes, because they don't really like to hurt working folks. Either you boycott the whole company of it won't matter.

You have to quit buying all their products.

“Safety concerns for their employees” my arse.

Taking a bunch of verbal ribbing isn’t a safety concern.

Also, AB is partnered with Karbach, Goose Island, Four Peaks, Golden Road, Red Hook, and numerous other craft partners.

They also bought up Wicked Weed out of North Carolina. They have a hand in everything.

Last 5 days its down $4.60. Today so far its down another $1.21.

The issue isn’t going away they lost many loyal drinkers forever.

And keep in mind the end of Mar was fiscal quarter ending so the results came out and it was good which bleeds over to start of month in financials. But after that the boycott started in earnest and it takes a few more days to start getting inside sales info. You are now starting to see it. And keep in mind there are always “buy the dip” investers who will prop it up after it goes down initially. But long term its not great. They killed their number 1 product and wounded other related products with Bud name on it.

Actually, it is down $3.00. The stock peaked on March 31 and then dropped. I wonder what happened?
