We all saw Barry O sitting in the Rev Wright's church while the good reverend spewed all that hatred for the evil Whitey. But yet the libs gave him a pass, saying that he did not necessarily agree with what was in the sermons.

But give Dr. Carson the same consideration?? Oh but hell no. Wright was spewing pure hate for years while Barack sat and listened, counting the rev amongst his friends. I haven't heard Dr. Carson hating on anyone nor any evidence that his church does.

The only haters here are the atheists, that wish to force their beliefs or lack of same on the rest of us, and arrogantly cannot accept the concept of freedom of religion.

It's not a belief that the earth is greater than 6000 years old.

It's a fact.

Why do people confuse these two things?

When it is in the realm of unknown, believe what you want. That's fine. But prepare to be ridiculed when your beliefs run counter to facts.

So because he attends a particular church he strictly adheres to all of its teachings? Is this the stance you are taking? When did that become an acceptable stance to the left?

I don't know what you consider a "church source", but Episcopalians do not believe that the theory of evolution conflicts with the Christian faith. You can believe in a creator and still accept evolution as fact. The Bible does not state that the earth is 6k years old. Even if it did, Episcopalians do not believe in a literal interpretation of the Bible. This really isn't the place for this discussion, but I read this board frequently and I get the impression no one has heard of the Episcopal church. It's so sad that all Christians are lumped together with fundamentalist Chistians.

I don't always agree with him, but I do find him interesting. Definitely looking forward to see what he does

Because that's what's in vogue. You have to watch Cosmos and read Dawkins and talk sarcastically about flying spaghetti monsters so that you can pretend you're smarter than you really are.

"The Left" has nothing to do with it. The right will reject him in the primary because of his views on creationism.

Lying and pandering are way better than believing in God. I mean, COME ON, do you believe in a Flying Spaghetti Monster too?!

It is deeply important for presidential candidates to be well-versed in evolutionary science given its principal role in governance.

Carson is the anti-establishment common sense approach kind of candidate this country needs.

I'm so damn sick of the status quo in DC. "Well, Bush did......" The ENTIRE Congress needs to be run out of office with a 2x4 and take ALL of the money whoring special interests with them.

This country is too fricking stupid to see that our "leaders," red and blue don't give two fat fricks about any of us. They keep us bitching at each other about ghey marriage, illegals, legalizing dope, and race that no one even notices that they are ALL just getting fatly rich off OUR blood, sweat and stupidity!

Nice job 'Merica!

He's not ready. I like him, but it would make no sense to put someone with literally zero governmental executive or legislative experience in the white house. He seems like a great asset for a cabinet post. He needs more time to build up his resume, THEN he'll be a real contender.

Our sitting President disagrees with that assertion
