it's so tiresome how these things always play out the same way. she calls out an entire audience and fanbase as being vile, racist, misogynist, homophobic, and all these horrible things, then uses the COMPLETELY JUSTIFIED ANGRY backlash against her as evidence of the vile racism, misogynism, homophobia, etc. it's classic reactive abuse. and then the media is just standing by waiting to validate all of these claims - "oh look at the angry misogynistic response she's gotten, this is proof of exactly what she's accusing them of!"

perfect example of how a completely made up accusation becomes fact. they dont even bother to word it like "some felt that there was a misogynistic element of the angry response that the Dixie Chicks got" anymore, they just state it as a plain fact. the Left are absolute masters of language.

And they became a cause celebre because they stood up to those meanie country music fans who no longer bought their albums.
Did we expect her to verbally blow W overseas? No. But getting into politics is always a bad idea, ESPECIALLY if you are espousing something in direct opposition to your fans’ beliefs.

You're singin' a song about makin' love to your summer
Well gay guitar pickers don't turn me on
We don't all get in to Donna Summer
Do you happen to know any old Hank Williams songs

You just gotta love when art is no longer allowed to be art and reflect what it will, but instead has to fall in line with collective thought.
What about the diversity of thought away from collective thought? Isn’t that in and of itself diverse?

Is this because of that Dixon Dallas dude? I don't think that dude's really gay. It has to be an elaborate troll.
Got to admit, never thought I'd ever hear the word "bussy" in a country song.

Can you imagine the firestorm if someone wrote a song from Earl’s perspective and he killed his wife before she killed him?
That person would rightfully be kicked out of music. But the Dixie Chicks get a pass because they’re chicks. Now that’s privilege.

Country music is much more "diverse" than hip hop.
We have Charley Pride and Darius Rucker. They have Vanilla Ice and Eminem.
We had Freddy Fender and Rick Trevino. They have Ice Spice and Cardi B and Pitbull and .... OK, they seem to win with Latino representation.

Country music is way more liberal than it has ever been. Morris’ actions were not about diversity or racism, they are about self promotion.

As is everyone thinking the same is an example of their diversity.
These people are the most dishonest humans alive because they lie to themselves and believe their own lies.
