This is going to be so funny

I don't keep up with soccer and have no idea if this celebration is planned, or not. Nonetheless, I agree with Iran and Egypt. I'm not going to celebrate homosexuality, either and I will not attend any event where it is celebrated. Downvote away.
Oh I am almost certain this was done on purpose to rile up the Middle East
If Seattle wanted to do this so badly but peacefully... they could've picked USA vs. Australia or either the Round of 32 or Round of 16 match to have it
Instead they pick the only match being played in the city featuring 2 Islamic countries
ETA: there are 4 group stage matches being played in Seattle
Egypt/Iran and USA/Australia as already discussed
The other 2 also feature Islamic countries
UEFA Path A winner (likely Italy but could also be either Northern Ireland, Wales, or Bosnia and Herzegovina) vs. Qatar
Belgium vs. Egypt

This is two authoritarian states demanding that the rest of the world conform to their homophobia
I can't imagine there's anything -phobic about it.
Not a lot of folks suffering from a fear of something that they have no problem snuffing out on the regular.
Take your Reddit fap material elsewhere.

Seattle
Apparently they made the "pride match" decision before teams were known.
Sexual proclivities have no place in sports matches.

The Wiki portion on it makes it sound like it was decided on by the Seattle host committee
It is NOT being endorsed by FIFA

The article makes it seem like it's linked to other Pride events going on at the same time
However... all 4 group stage matches are happening in June and their celebration is going on all month long
They can just move it to the USA/Australia match
Also... a whole month of Pride celebrations going on while Iranian, Egyptian, & Qatari soccer fans will be in town?
Talk about a powder keg

So who on the Left is going to openly criticize these two countries? Do it now. Stand up for your cause. We are all waiting.
Late to the party but Amen, brother.
What a conundrum for the left.

And that to the list of the one thing I agree with those countries on.

Surely there is someway to blame Israel for this, right?

Look at this gay retard.

Why do we need a celebration of someone’s sexual preferences at a goddamn sporting event?
If they’re going to have LGBT shite at sporting events, then why can’t we have big booty latina games?
Sports used to be the place where everyone could escape the divisiveness of politics and social issues. I’ve never seen so much love and positivity shared among people from all backgrounds and walks of life as when the Saints went on the Super Bowl run.

The lefts two favorite groups butting heads. So damn funny. Their heads are spinning like Linda Blair.

Well there’s multiple gay pride flags in every window in downtown Seattle. Dude sitting at the bar I’m at ordered a non alcoholic IPA and said he was sober for two weeks. Kansas City move over, there’s a new fig capital of the world.

a World Cup soccer match in Seattle that is planned to celebrate LGBTQ+ Pride.
So one of the important FIFA games is going to celebrate something other than Soccer.
Why?
How did the world exist in previous years without this sort of distraction?
