You know we have serious issues when changes to a social media platform are on the political board. Back when America was great something like this would’ve been on the tech board.

It is easy for me to be critical of Elon because he is not actually America first, America currently is the best nation for his own life goals which is interplanetary travel, alternative energy sources, etc. If it were another country, I am sure he would be there while we would still be here rooting of our nations success.
Elon is a petty guy as we have seen from his tweets, his interactions with the SEC, and anyone else who crosses him such as his ex's, and his own transgender MtF son. I worry what may happen if he feels like the US doesnt serve his interests anymore, or he feels fricked over, and he has years of unfiltered access to secret documents. Elon is very reliant on Chinese suppliers for Tesla batteries, 40% is the last number I read when it comes to Chinese involvement in Tesla batteries. He is not a true public servant but an opportunist.

Shutting down accounts and removing their verified status even though it's being paid for like Laura Loomer's account, then encouraging people to only allow verified users to reply in the comments like Elon did is not free speech.
