Historically, much of our initial expansion was reactionary. We pushed outwards to defend ourselves.
The Israelis want us to fight their wars for them. It waste of American lives and money.

This is one of those situations where you need to understand the difference in Jews as a race and Judaism as a religion. The big power players in the west are the race and not really religious. They don’t really care about the holy land.
