Even if traditional Conservative (Constitutional Principle) Politicos sweep into Congress, Dems will walk out of Congress (like in Texas) and the MSM will gas/light the Urban populous. Rinse and repeat.
I think Jesus would approve of the 'spirit' of your Post. Eternity is a long time to enjoy - or bear - the fruits of a loving character...or a hate-filled one. "He that warreth doth not entangleth himself in the affairs of men". Some would find such civically irresponsible. To each their own.
