This is correct. Been to Taiwan about a dozen times. Those mountains have a tremendous amount of weaponry embedded in them. I believe ultimately, possibly 50 years down the road, China may be able to turn Taiwan from within.
Attacking them militarily atm would be catastrophic loss of life.

Pretty much inevitable considering their ship building capacity and rate of growth versus ours.

They aren't even in the same stratosphere as us in regard to carriers.
It's going to take them a very long time.

China will invade Taiwan now this is the perfect moment and it's a great reason to do so for them.

Read a history book or search on the internet. Communist China never had control of Taiwan. When the communists took over the Republic of China retreated to Taiwan and have kept it ever since.
Spit on. If anything, the legitimate Chinese government in Taiwan needs to take back China from the socialist tyrants.

Yep. The entire world right now could invade the US homeland and not a single enemy would make it to our shores. That is because of our Navy.

Canada is watching this and preparing to attack the North Pole.

They’re expected to have 6 carriers operational by 2035. Considering the US must maintain presence elsewhere, they’ll be at parity with us in the pacific sooner than you think.
They’ll have over 80 subs by that time period as well, building about 5-6 nuclear subs per year, on top of conventional ones.

So 10 years away if we maintain and build zero more. Got it.
Your math isn't working.

We’re lucky if four of ours are available at any given time.

If anything... this will probably give China pause.

Well, according to his argument we have 10 years to decide.

The US isn’t adding additional carriers, it’s building new ones to replace older ones it’s retiring. It will still have 11 carriers.

this is open invitation for China to take back Taiwan
The communist regime overthrew the Republic of China on the mainland.
The Republic of China on Formosa and related islands, aka Taiwan, was never a part of Communist China. Communist China might try to do what they've been unsuccessful in accomplishing over the past 80yrs, i.e., completing conquest of the residual Republic of China. But Communist China is not "taking back" anything.
